MT5 white label explained

Understand what an MT5 white label is, what it can include, and which responsibilities remain with the brokerage.

What “MT5 white label” means

An MT5 white label generally refers to a branded implementation of MetaTrader 5 technology offered through an approved commercial arrangement. The exact model can vary, so buyers should verify what is actually included rather than relying on the label alone.

The technology layers around MT5

The trading platform is only one part of a brokerage stack. Client registration, KYC, CRM, account workflows, payments, liquidity or bridge dependencies, support processes and analytics may sit around it.

What a white label does not solve

A white label does not automatically create regulatory authorization, a legal entity, banking relationships, payment acceptance, liquidity access or a compliant marketing program. Those are separate responsibilities.

Questions to ask before signing

Ask who provides the MT5 arrangement, what branding is available, who hosts each component, which CRM is used, how data moves between systems, what support is included and what happens if a third-party integration changes.

Turn the offer into a written responsibility map

Before comparing proposals, identify the business owner of each layer. A branded terminal, a client portal and a back office can be supplied by different teams. Ask how a client moves between them and who resolves an incident when an action succeeds in one system but fails in another.

Example responsibility map
LayerQuestion to resolveAcceptance evidence
Platform accessWho provisions accounts and controls groups?Account creation and suspension demonstrated in a test environment.
Client areaWho owns login, verification status and account requests?A complete onboarding journey with documented status changes.
OperationsWho monitors incidents and approves changes?Named escalation contacts and a handover checklist.
DataWhich records can you export if the arrangement ends?Documented export format, coverage and access process.

A practical first brief can state your preferred platform, target audience, existing CRM and required client journey. Mark unknowns explicitly. This makes it easier to compare two scopes without assuming that every provider includes the same components.

Continue with the broker technology stack checklist and the control and responsibility comparison.
